Baby Lock Tech 2012
Babylock Tech is the annual trade convention of the Tacony Corporation, the parent company of Babylocksewing machines and makers of the Embellisher felting machine. It is the Baby Lock sewing machine dealers' show held once a year the last weekend in August, with vendors, classes, presentations, entertainment, etc. for retailers worldwide to be introduced to the latest inventions from the sewing industry in the past year. They are also the producers of the "Sewing With Nancy" TV show and Nancy's Notions catalog. It is the place where new ideas, gadgets and all-things-sewing are revealed for the first time to the market through vendors and classes.
I had the privilege of sharing a booth with the Amazing Designs vendors, Ron and Barb Spaulding from Pottstown Sewing where I was able to show my work as a mini art gallery and showcase the Embellisher needle felting machine.

I sent my wool paintings, "Oleander, Morning Mist, and Autumn Tree" this year to the Fine Arts division of the festival and won First, Third and Fourth place in that order.
Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival 2011
My wool paintings, "Bottle Study" and "Provincetown" were on display in the Fine Arts Building at the Festival this year. Provincetown won "Best In Show" and the Bottle Study won Second Place.
International Quilt Festival Houston, TX
My quilt, "Falling Leaves", was invited to a special Exhibit entitled, "500 Art Quilts", juried by Karey Bresenhan, the founder and CEO of the International Quilting Association. The International Quilt Association is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the art of quilting, the attainment of public recognition for quilting as an art form, and the advancement of the state of the art throughout the world. IQA supports many projects and activities, including a grant program, which funds research and other quilt-related projects, and two annual Judged Shows of members' work.

Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza XVI
Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, PA September 17 - 20, 2009
The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza is the largest and most prominent quilting arts event in the Northeast all under one roof. The quilt competition features wonderful entries from throughout the nation. Entries to the competition include traditional and innovative quilts. The exhibits of the Extravaganza will offer over six hundred quilts and garments presented in gallery style as well as more than two hundred vendor booths offering everything from completed quilts and garments to all the supplies and equipment used in making them.
